Leading database managed service provider Onomi, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Tech Startup of the Year Award 2015. The award aims to recognise the best technology startups who have launched their products or services within the last two years.
Launched in January 2015 the company has seen fantastic growth and has quickly established itself as a trusted provider to a wide range of clients securing over £800k in contracts in its first year.
Julian Boneham, Onomi Director, said “We are thrilled to be nominated for these awards and its wonderful recognition for the hard work the technical team have put in, literally working 24×7 to support our customers”.
Onomi helps customers to manage their databases more effectively by providing 24x7x365 managed services and the best independent advice. Over recent years the database technology market has seen significant disruption from new challengers, commercial open source technologies and cloud based alternatives. This new technology adoption away from legacy database technologies has created a large skills shortage in the market which is severely impeding customer adoption and operational success.
Andrew Slater, Onomi Director, said “Onomi replaces the need for customers to employ database skills in house and we have entered the market with a proposition that is built to address the demand for greater cloud and DevOps adoption. In short we let the development team do their job whilst Onomi takes away the operational headache of looking after the databases.”
Organised by Nott Tuesday, the Tech Startup Awards take place on Tuesday 17th November.
